SIA'2011 Motor Show, a major automotive celebration of the country, is included in OICA’s Calendar of the world’s leading motor shows.
As usually, on May 25, a sound delegation of honorary guests dropped to the ceremonial opening, including the executives of Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, and EURO’2012 Organization Department. Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine Vitaliy Nemilostivy noted in his speech a domestic market movement: "Automobiles are being sold better due to improving economic situation; the bank system is getting revived, and the Ukrainians start buying cars with increasing frequency. I wish this year’s show to be a success, and the next anniversary one to be even better. We will be solving the problems associated with the domestic car manufacture support, which the President of Ukraine posed for the government”. “In turn, the motor vehicle manufacturers will make a notable contribution to completion of the errand from the President of Ukraine on making our country join the twenty of the world powers that is, of course, impossible without the involvement of car industry”, - President of Ukrautoprom Association of Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Mykhailo Reznik noted in his speech. Director General of Autoexpo Ukrainian Exhibition Company Olexander Haraschenko stated that the entire automotive community would remember SIA’2011 as a motor show of a great number of premiers. A large amount of brand-news was displayed within the Kyiv Motor Show by exhibiting companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Brilliance, Chevrolet, Chery, Chrysler, Dodge, Daihatsu, Faw, Geely, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lada, Lifan, Opel, Saipa, SsangYong, Subaru, Renault, ZAZ, Bogdan, GAZ and others. These are: BRILLIANCE BS4, BRILLIANCE BS6, BRILLIANCE CROSS, BRILLIANCE FSV, CHERY BEAT, CHEVROLET ORLANDO, CHEVROLET SPARK, DODGE CALIBER, GEELY EMGRAND EC7, GEELY ENGLON SC5, GEELY MK, GEELY MK CROSS, GEELY SL, HYUNDAI I40, HYUNDAI ELANTRA, HYUNDAI GRANDEUR, HYUNDAI VELOSTER, JEEP COMPASS, JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, JEEP WRANGLER, KIA PICANTO, MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS, MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS COUPE, MERCEDES-BENZ CLS, MERCEDES-BENZ SLK, OPEL ASTRA SPORTS TOURER, OPEL NEW CORSA, RENAULT LATITUDE, RENAULT LOGAN, SANDERO, LOGAN MCV LPG, ZAZ FORZA. Almost all presentations at the Motor Show were supported by dramatized shows and productions. Alongside of carmakers and importers, the biggest exhibit of car components, services, care and electronic products was available at the Motor Show. Financial sector joined the show as well. A diversity of banks and insurance companies offered their services. Presentations and trainings dedicated to different aftermarket aspects, from support manning to toning, installation of security systems, auxiliaries and tuning, were meant for maintenance men and pressmen. Construct, Polio, BOSCH, Giraff, 3M Ukraine, Continental and others excelled in running appropriate programs for trade visitors. In general, the 470 companies from 20 countries throughout the world occupied the area of 27,000 m2 at the Kyiv International SIA’2011 Motor Show exclusively indoor of the International Exhibition Centre. Foreign companies from Austria, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Holland, Iran, Italy, China, Korea, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, USA, Turkey, France, Czech Republic and Japan formed a significant part of exhibitors. The United Arab Emirates first exhibited at SIA this year. Hence year in, year out, the impact area of the Motor Show expands that emphasizes a great interest of foreign companies in partaking in the Motor Show. Survey of the public Relying upon the public opinion poll conducted by Touchpoll Ukraine Research Agency during the show open hours, certain conclusions can be made. It is beyond doubt that prospective car buyers are interested in brand-news by world and national car industry. Furthermore, for many years, SIA Motor Show has been a holiday and entertainment center for the whole family.

Visitors to the Kyiv Motor Show are mainly the people of good means.
Besides, the 72.8 % are longstanding visitors to the Motor Show, and 27.2 % of respondents first came to the Motor Show of this year. During 5 days, the 150 thousand people came to the show. Moreover, it was mainly trade visitors on workdays and general public on weekends as the Motor Show has been a favourite scene of holiday for car admirers and their families from the whole country. Media at SIA’2011 The SIA’2011 Motor Show aroused a considerable interest of the media. Taking into account high status and popularity of the Motor Show in Ukraine, quite some key media took the part of basic information partners. These are INTER Media Group, Autoradio Ukraine, Za Rulem magazine, Ukrnet Internet-portal, AUTO.RIA.UA and others. On May 25 -26, the Motor Show had a Day of Press and Trade Visitors. The 172 editorial offices were accredited at the Motor Show, including central and regional TV and Radio channels, information agencies, newspapers and magazines. In general, the number of accredited journalists at the Motor Show reached 403 persons. The overseas media were among the accredited, including survey squad of the national TV of China (CCTV), published editions from Russia, Europe and the Middle East. During the first exhibition days, the run-ins of many Ukrainian TV channels included the items on the commencement of the SIA Motor Show, having evenly appraised this event as an informational occasion worthy of viewers’ attention. There is an incomplete list of channels and programs, which dedicated their items to the opening and commencement of the Major Automotive Event of Ukraine: 1+1 – TCN, 24 News Channel, First Business Channel, ICTV, UT-1 – Business World, First Automotive Channel, 5 Channel, UBR, TRK Ukraine and others. The First Automotive Channel created No Comment, a special cycle of items that united all presentations of the Motor Show. Owing to that, the viewers were able to watch information messages in Reality Show mode. During the Motor Show, the data messages on the Motor Show opening also appeared on air of the popular Radio broadcasts such as Autoradio Ukraine, Nashe Radio, Hit FM, Europe FM, Gala Radio, Nostalgia, Kyiv 98 FM, Era Radio, etc. Sizing-up Apart from this model, highly appraised by journalists HYUNDAI VELOSTER, CHEVROLET ORLANDO, HYUNDAI ELANTRA and MERCEDES BENZ C-CLASS had a good chance to become the best car of SIA’2011. The journalists accredited at the Motor Show Press Center and the members of Ukraine’s Journalists Automobile Club were partaking in the vote during the entire SIA’2011 open hours. Prizes of the Motor Show from SIA’2011 Steering Committee were given to: AIS GROUP – for the presentation of new SsangYong KORANDO off-road vehicle and the promotion of new GEELY brand line in the Ukrainian market. RENAULT UKRAINE – for the outstanding RENAULT FLUENCE С-class model presented at the Motor Show. FALCON AUTO – for the premier of KIA PICANTO urban subcompact of new generation at the Motor Show. GENERAL AUTO GROUP – for the outstanding presentation of OPEL ASTRA SPORTS TOURER at the Motor Show. VIPOS – for the presentation of BRILLIANCE brand at the Motor Show. AUTOZAZ SERVICE – for ZAZ FORZA hatchback, the best domestic car. HYUNDAI MOTOR UKRAINE – for the premier of HYUNDAI VELOSTER, the outstanding variant for young people. In his speech at the ceremonial closing of the Motor Show, Director General of AUTOEXPO Alexander Haraschenko thanked everyone, who partook in the Motor Show organization, and called to getting prepared together for the next anniversary Motor Show. During five exhibition days, the automotive brands were able to show to a wide audience the updated line of cars; service companies demonstrated present-day car maintenance and tuning offers to trade visitors and car owners. As a result, SIA’2011 pleased all with a great amount of premiers and brand-news that has proved positive movements in the automotive sector.
