Greetings to Organisers and Participants of SIA'2009 Motor Show

On March 3 through 15, 2009, the 79th Geneva Motor Show was taking place. During the Motor Show, OICA’s Exhibition Committee had the conventional meeting. President of Ukrautoprom Association of Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and co-organizer of the Kyiv International SIA’2009 Motor Show Mr. Mykhailo Reznik attended the meeting.

Among numerous issues on the state and problems of the world car industry, the problems and development prospects of motor shows were emphasized. In particular, Mr. Reznik submitted a report about the preparatory readiness of the Kyiv Motor Show to be staged in 2009 under OICA’s auspices. 

OICA Secretary General Mr. Yves van der Straaten delivered his welcome to organizers and participants of the 17th Kyiv International SIA’2009 Motor Show.

Dear friends!

On behalf of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) let me congratulate you with the opening of the 17th  Kyiv International Motor show SIA'2009.

This year the SIA Motor show has been included into the official calendar of the shows, held under the auspices of OICA.

It`s my pleasure to admit that during the last few years the Ukrainian automotive industry has witnessed significant quality and quantity changes and the Kyiv Motor show is the best confirmation of this fact.

SIA’2009 is an important tool for the promotion of goods and services of domestic as well as foreign manufacturers.

In spite of global changes in the international economics, including motor vehicles manufacturing, the Kyiv International Motor Show, adhering to traditionally high standards, gives a unique opportunity for conducting automotive market analysis and reviewing of main tendencies in automotive manufacturing and automotive market development during  a period of economic instability. 

Today, the exhibitors have a unique chance to demonstrate their powerful science-technological potential and creative opportunities, as well as to present modern and competitive products. I hope that visitors and exhibitors of SIA’2009 will get positive impressions and take advantage of the many benefits of this significant event.
